SIKESTON, MO -

A Vietnam War veteran finally got the medals he earned 46 years later on Wednesday in Sikeston, Missouri.

Ivory Wright was presented the Bronze Star, a Presidential Meritorious Unit Citation, a Vietnam Service Medal and and the Republic of Vietnam Gallantry Cross.

Wright enlisted into the army in June of 1969 and was discharged in September of 1970. A clerical error is to blame for wright not getting the medals during his tour.
