Suspect in Carbondale shooting turns himself in

One of two suspects wanted by police in connection to a deadly shooting has turned himself in to police.

The Jackson County State's Attorney says 21-year-old John Ingram of Cape Girardeau surrendered himself to police at the Jackson County Jail Thursday evening.

Ingram is the second person arrested in connection with a shooting on Easter in Carbondale.

Carbondale police say shots were fired early in the morning at a party.

A stray bullet hit and killed Timothy Beaty who was in a neighboring home at the time.

Another person, Nehemiah Greenlee, was injured in the shooting.

Ingram has been charged with aggravated battery with a firearm and aggravated discharge of a firearm in connection to the shooting of Greenlee.

21-year-old Dwayne J. Dunn of St. Louis, Missouri was arrested the day of the shooting and charged with reckless discharge of a firearm.

Police are still looking for a third suspect, 21-year-old Travis Tyler of Cape Girardeau.
