Here are six things to know today.

Tens of thousands of Verizon workers have walked off the job. The strike involves installers, repairman, and other workers. Verizon says it has trained thousands of non-union employees to fill in during the strike.

A faulty piece of machinery is to blame for a massive fire at a building in Mumbai, India. It started at the ground floor and quickly spread. Luckily everyone inside made it out. Three people suffered burns.

Recent polls show Clinton is favored to win the New York primary. A new Quinnipiac poll shows her with 53% support compared to Bernie Sanders 40%. 7% are undecided.

Ethan Couch will find out today if he has to serve jail time for violating his probation. He's the teen who used an affluenza defense after a deadly drunk-driving accident in Texas. Today, a judge could order him to serve 120 days in jail before finishing the rest of his probation.

L.A. Lakers star Kobe Bryant will play his final game tonight after a very successful 20 year career. Bryant won five championships with the Lakers and is the third place all-time leading scorer. He announced his retirement in November.

Today is National Scrabble Day. The game was created in the 1930's and is currently sold in 121 countries with 29 different language versions.
