Two injured in McCracken County wreck

MCCRACKEN COUNTY, KY -

Two people were taken to a local hospital after a two-vehicle wreck Wednesday, according to the McCracken County Sheriff's Department. 

Deputies say they responded to the report of the wreck at an intersection in the area of Benton Road around  6:35 p.m. Wednesday. They say when they got there, two vehicles were partially blocking the intersection of 

According to deputies, 17-year-old Chandler Lange of Paducah was making a left turn onto Benton Road when he pulled in front of 34-year-old Jared Hendrix, also of Paducah, as he was driving on Reidland Road through the intersection onto Benton Road.

Deputies say Hendrix's vehicle hit Lange's vehicle on the passenger side doors with the front bumper, and both drivers told deputies they had the green light at the intersection. The air bags in both vehicles deployed.  

Lange had two passengers in his vehicle: 15-year-old Aubrey Furrow and 17-year-old Tyler Jones, both of Ledbetter.  Deputies say Furrow and Hendrix were taken by ambulance to the  Baptist Health Paducah  emergency room for injuries described as "non-incapacitating." Jones was not injured.

Deputies were assisted at the scene by Mercy Regional EMS and the Reidland-Farley Volunteer Fire Department.
