Here are six things to know for today.

An American serviceman has been killed near Irbil in Iraq. Defense Secretary Ash Carter says it is a "combat death."

Polls in Indiana opened this morning for the state's primary. There are 57 delegates at stake for Republicans and 83 for Democrats.

A Mayfield man is charged with stealing from his former employee. James Winslow is charged with stealing medication from an Air Evac helicopter. He was a paramedic on the flight team.

Nearly all Detroit public schools are closed for a second day due to a mass teacher sick-out. The sick-out is in protest over information that the school district will run out of cash by the end of June and be unable to pay teachers during the summer.

The Olympic torch is in Brazil this morning. The torch will soon start its 3 month journey through the country before the start of the Olympic games in August.

Tickets go on sale today for the St. Jude Dream Home. The ceremonial first ticket will be sold later today at Regions Bank.
