A local decorated World War II veteran was buried on Friday in Paducah.
Henry Nangle served in the Army Air Corps, a forerunner to the U.S. Air Force. While at war, he was stationed in England on a B-17. His daughter, Cathy Kroeff, says he flew 23 missions over Germany and Eastern Europe.
Nangle was born and raised in Paducah and spent many years working for the Illinois Central Railroad.
Nangle died from pneumonia late last month at 98 years old.
