Ruger's owners continue search

GRAVES COUNTY, Ky. -

Matt James and Brie Keyes are stepping up their ground game to find Ruger, their dog who has been missing since the tornado in Graves County last week.

"We've just been trying to have this hope," Keyes told Local 6.

They are not only using signs to bring attention to their lost family member, but Keyes is mapping out their journey.

"This here is Paducah. We've done most of it," she said showing us the points where she already put out signs.

James and Keyes made 150 signs and are planning on putting them at all of the major intersections in McCracken, Marshall, Calloway and Graves counties.

"It's been a roller-coaster ride for sure," said an emotionally exhausted James. His heart is empty, but he's not giving up. "I don't even know where to begin. I haven't even got to sit down and think about everything else that's happened," James said.

The Help Find Ruger Facebook page has more than 7,500 likes. Keyes said the support, even from strangers, keeps her outlook bright.

"Sharing Ruger and the posts let's other eyes see it and then more eyes see. So, that's really how it's grown to be this big and we never expected it," Keyes said.
