PADUCAH, KY -

Paducah police are looking for a Ballard County man accused of cashing a forged check.

The treasurer for Mount Kenton Cemetery told police a check was made out to a local business in late April but the local business never got the check.

When the treasurer checked with the bank, she was told the check had cleared but at a larger amount than written.

Police say the check had been altered and made payable to 29-year-old Allen D. Collier of LaCenter for $951.43.

A warrant charging Collier with second-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument has been issued.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Paducah Police Department at (270) 444-8550.
