Four people were injured — one of whom was flown to a Nashville, Tennessee, hospital — in a wreck on Kentucky 58 West at the intersection of Kentucky 339 South Thursday afternoon, according to the Graves County Sheriff's Department.

Deputies were dispatched to the scene of the two-vehicle wreck at 5 p.m. Thursday. The sheriff's office says 25-year-old Matthew Stanfield of Water Valley was driving a 2002 Chevrolet Suburban eastbound on KY 58 West.

Witnesses told deputies Stanfield was trying to turn left turn onto KY 339 South when he pulled into the path of a four-door 1997 Chrysler driven by 19-year-old Brittany Mills of Wingo.

Stanfield and two passengers in his vehicle — Stanfield's wife, Victoria, and a juvenile — were taken to Jackson Purchase Medical Center.

Mills was flown from the scene by AirEvac to Skyline Medical Center in Nashville.

The Graves County Sheriff’s Office was assisted at the scene by Mayfield/Graves County EMS, the Mayfield Fire Department, the Wingo Fire Department, and AirEvac of Mayfield.
