EDDYVILLE, KY -

Two flags pole are now honoring the deaths of two fallen Kentucky State troopers.

They mark the sites where Trooper Cameron Ponder and Trooper Eric Chrisman lost their lives.

Chrisman died in June in a crash while responding to a reckless driving complaint.

Ponder was shot and killed in September by a driver with a suspended license.

Many gathered before the unveiling, sharing kind words and honoring Ponder's and Chrisman's service to the community.

"Our world stopped the day we go the knock on the door that our son had been killed. They say it's love that makes the world go around. Well, our world stopped that day and its events like this that sort of get your world started again," said Joe Ponder, father of Cameron Ponder.

Organizer Debi Dodd says the flag dedication was necessary, assuring Ponder and Chrisman are never forgotten.

A third memorial was also unveiled at KSP Post One.

It is a memorial stone to honor those who have lost their lives in the line of duty.

The memorial stone was made possible thanks to public donations.
