BURLINGTON, Ky. (AP) - Gov. Matt Bevin says first responders in parts of Kentucky are receiving doses of Narcan to help fight drug overdoses. Bevin, executives from Aetna and officials from northern Kentucky are announcing on Wednesday a partnership that will give 720 doses of the medication to first responders in northern Kentucky and Appalachian regions in an effort to prevent drug overdose deaths.

OWENSBORO, Ky. (AP) - The Kentucky National Guard is renaming its readiness center in Owensboro. A statement from the guard says the facility is being named in honor of retired Maj. Gen. Dean Allen Youngman, an Owensboro native who served as the 49th Adjutant General of Kentucky and led the agency from 2001-2008. A renaming ceremony will be held Wednesday at the center, which is home to the 206th Engineer Battalion.

FRANKFORT, Ky. (AP) - Republican state Sen. Whitney Westerfield can officially begin raising money for his attorney general campaign. The two-term state senator filed his letter of intent with the Kentucky Registry of Election Finance on Tuesday. Westerfield said he plans to run for attorney general in 2019.

WASHINGTON (AP) - Louise Linton, the wife of Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin, is apologizing for posting on Instagram about a designer-label outfit and then blasting a critic. In a statement issued Tuesday, Linton says her post and response were "inappropriate and highly insensitive." Linton on Monday posted the picture of herself getting off a government plane in Kentucky with Mnuchin. In her post, she mentioned several designer labels for her all-white outfit.
