A Paducah man was arrested Sunday morning after a three county chase that started in McCracken County .

McCracken County deputies spotted a black BMW going more than 100 miles per hour on Metropolis Lake Road around 3:30am.

As they tried to pull the driver over, he drove through Ballard, Carlisle and Graves Counties.  The driver was identified as Jacob Bailey, 34, of Paducah.

Bailey was eventually stopped and arrested.  He told deputies he was attempting to get officers to kill him because he did not want to go back to prison.

Meth, electronic scales, baggies and a smoking device were found in his car. They believe he was under the influence of meth.

He is charged with speeding, fleeing or evading, wanton endangerment, trafficking methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, reckless driving and DUI.

Bailey was currently out of jail on bond on charges of receiving stolen property, possession of methamphetamine and criminal mischief

Bailey does have an extensive criminal record including at least three contempt of court convictions, 27 prior speeding convictions, theft, DUI, as well as a manslaughter conviction in McCracken County from a 2008 car crash that killed one person.  He received a 7 year prison sentence for that offense.
