Posted: Updated:
Orlando, FL -

Hundreds of people stood in line to give blood to help the victims in the Orlando, Florida terror attack. The shooting is now called the deadliest mass shooting in U.S. history. The local blood bank, OneBlood, met its goal for donations Sunday.

We know those of you here in the Local 6 area can't pick up and drive to Orlando to donate blood, but you can go online and make monetary donations to victims and their families. There are two funds set up right now. One is a GoFundMe account set up by the LGBT civil rights organization "Equality Florida." A group spokesperson says the money will go to the families of the victims. The goal is $1 million.

The second account set up is by the nonprofit organization "Planting Peace." That account is is on CrowdRise. That money will help cover funeral and medical costs for the victims. The goal there is $100,000.
