GRAVES COUNTY, KY -

The Kentucky State Police is investigating a dog attack that seriously injured a man in Graves County.

Troopers say two pit bulls attacked Mitchell Slayden Tuesday morning outside a home on Dove Road. That's in the Farmington community.

Slayden suffered cuts to his face, head, arms and legs, troopers say, and his injuries were life threatening. He was airlifted to a hospital in Nashville.

Graves County Animal Control took the dogs. They will be quarantined and monitored for at least 10 days.
