A pilot was killed when his crop dusting plane crashed in Missouri Thursday, according to the local sheriff.
Dunklin County Sheriff Bob Holder says his office was notified about the crash, which happened just east of County Road 426 in Dunklin County, around 6:55 a.m. Thursday.
Holder says the pilot was 48-year-old Jack Short of Kennett, Missouri.
In addition to himself and deputies, Holder says Kennett Fire Department and the Missouri Highway Patrol responded to the scene. The Federal Aviation Administration is also investigating the incident.
Holder says additional information about the crash is forthcoming from the FAA.
