Here are six things to know for today.

A black Minnesota man fatally shot by a police officer last week will be remembered at a funeral service today in St. Paul. Thirty-two-year-old Philando Castile was shot several times during a traffic stop, after he told the officer he was licensed to carry a gun.

Protests were held last night in Carbondale, Illinois. The protest was held in response to several high profile shootings involving police officers over the last few weeks.

Donald Trump says he is ready to reveal his pick for vice president. He tweeted last night that he will announce his candidate at 11:00 a.m. on Friday.

Paducah police are asking businesses to be on the lookout for counterfeit money. Several fake bills were taken by a downtown business earlier this week.

Deputies are investigating a hit-and-run that injured a person near the Southland Baptist Church on Husband Road yesterday.  They are looking for either a maroon or red SUV with a luggage rack on top.

Today is the second day of the 33rd annual Red Cross Donor Days. You can donate blood today at the Robert Cherry Civic Center from 7:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.
