Donald Trump says he and Mike Pence are the "law and order candidates" in this presidential election.
As he introduced the Indiana governor as his running mate today, Trump said his administration would be far tougher on both foreign and domestic terrorism than Hillary Clinton would be.
Trump called Pence a "man of character, honor and honesty," while Pence called Trump "a good man," a fighter, a legendary businessman and a patriotic American.
Pence is well-regarded by evangelical Christians, particularly after signing a law that critics said would allow businesses to deny service to gay people for religious reasons. But his hardline ideology is at odds with Trump on a number of social issues.
Pence is scheduled to appear at a rally in Indiana later. Trump is not scheduled to join him.
