The body of a woman found dismembered in the Green River in Barren County, Kentucky has been identified. Kristen Edwards was reported missing a few weeks ago. The case is considered a homicide.

At least 40 people are dead after a car bomb went off at a police station in a Syrian town overnight. The Islamic State says they are behind it and promise more violence is coming.

Hillary Clinton is officially the Democratic presidential nominee. She accepted the position last night. Tonight at the DNC, President Obama and Vice President Joe Biden are set to speak.
