Kevil man arrested after leading troopers on chase

LIVINGSTON COUNTY, KY -

A Kevil man was arrested on Friday after leading troopers on a chase through Livingston County.

Kentucky State Police say troopers were following up on a report of a stolen vehicle out of Tennessee.

The troopers then saw a Blue Toyota Avalon on US 60 and attempted to pull it over.

The driver sped away from the troopers and a chase began.

During the chase, the drive almost struck some of the responding troopers.

The chase lasted for about 30 miles before the car ran out of gas around Pisgah Road on State Route 137.

As the car slowed down, the driver turned off into a nearby cornfield and ran away.

A K9 unit was brought out and troopers arrested the driver, 19-year-old Dakota Miller of Kevil. He was arrested without further incident.

Miller was charged with:
Speeding 26 over
Reckless driving 1 count
Fleeing or evading police motor vehicle
Fleeing or evading police 1st degree on foot
Wanton endangerment 1st degree police officer 5 counts
Disregarding a stop sign 3 counts
Improper use of left lane overtaking vehicle
Failure to wear seatbelt
Resisting arrest
DUI 1st aggravating circumstance
Possession of controlled substance 1st degree 1 offense meth
Drug paraphernalia buy/possess
Criminal mischief 1st degree
Criminal mischief 2nd degree 2 counts
Receiving stolen property over $10,000
Receiving stolen property firearm 2 counts
License to be in possession
Unlawfully permitting a minor to possess firearm

Miller was also served with warrants for 
Fugitive from another state
Possession of controlled substance meth
Possession of controlled substance 3rd degree
Burglary 2nd degree
Failure to appear in court

Miller was taken to the McCracken County Regional Jail.

An investigation is ongoing and more charge are pending.
