FRANKLIN COUNTY, IL -

The Franklin County coroner says two men died in separate incidents on Friday.

Coroner Marty Leffler says on Friday around 9:00 p.m. a pedestrian was hit and killed.

Leffler says 32-year-old Franklin Roy Hunsinger of Sesser was walking north with a friend on South Broadway Street in Sesser when a pickup truck struck and killed Hunsinger.

Alcohol is believed to be a factor.

An autopsy is scheduled for Sunday afternoon.

The second case is possibly related to heat exhaustion.

Leffler says 43-year-old Jason Bailey of Benton was found unresponsive at his ex-father-in-law's home.

Police got a call around 9:30 p.m. of an unresponsive man who was not breathing.

An ambulance took Bailey to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.

According to family, Bailey had been working outside in the heat and went to his ex-father-in-law's house to ask for help watching his two-year-old son.

Bailey said he did not feel well and went and lied down on the couch. He was later found unresponsive and not breathing.

An autopsy is scheduled for Sunday afternoon.
