METROPOLIS, IL -

A haircut for a good cause: People in Metropolis, Illinois visited a salon Monday as part of the Bark-Aid project, which benefits animals through the Humane Society.

Stylist Patrick Lomantini travels the country to raise money for the cause.

"There's animals in need everywhere, so it just continues to grow. And that's what this is all about, about bringing people together in the communities and developing those relationships and raising awareness and funds for the homeless pets," Lomantini says.

The clients received haircuts from a world record holder. He's in the book for the most cuts in a 72-hour period. Lomantini heads to Nashville next.
