Posted: Updated:

Earlier we told you the Paducah City Commission voted to allow some new businesses to serve liquor by the drink. Here's a look at other decisions during Tuesday's meeting.

- Paducah's E911 center will get new equipment to better answer your emergencies. Commissioners approved a contract with Virginia-based Federal Engineering Inc. to oversee the upgrade.

- Commissioners also proposed a contract with HDR Engineering for engineering, design and inspection services for floodwall pump stations No. 2 and 9.

- Jeff Pederson could serve as city manager for at least three more years. Commissioners proposed extending his employment contract through 2019, with an automatic renewal option for three additional years.
