JACKSON CO, IL -

There has been a delay in the trials of two men charged in connection to a deadly Easter shooting in Carbondale, Illinois.

A Jackson County judge granted a continuance for the trials of John Ingram and Travis Tyler due to delays in analysis of evidence from the state lab.

The two men are accused of shooting at Nehemiah Greenlee and killing Timothy Beaty, who police say was hit by a stray bullet.

Their attorneys say they need the delays because they believe evidence will clear their clients.

Both men have been indicted on two counts of first degree murder, one count of aggravated battery with a firearm, and two counts of aggravated discharge of a firearm.

Ingram and Tyler's trials are now scheduled for January 24th in Jackson County.
