Former city administrator pleads not guilty to drug charges in Crittenden County

CRITTENDEN COUNTY, Ky -

A former Marion, Kentucky city administrator charged with trafficking synthetic drugs to inmates entered a not guilty plea on Thursday.

Mark Bryant was indicted by a Crittenden County grand jury on charges of tampering with physical evidence, 1st degree promoting contraband, and trafficking in synthetic drugs. All are felonies and carry 1 to 5 years in prison.

Kentucky State Police say Bryant was trafficking drugs to inmates while he was overseeing the Crittenden County Detention Center Work Release Program.

During his court appearance on Thursday, Bryant entered a not guilty plea. He will have a pretrial hearing on November 10.
