Verizon is offering a $500 reward for information leading to an arrest in the vandalism of a local park that happened early Sunday morning.
Marshall County Sheriff's Detective Lt. Matt Hilbrecht says surveillance video shows two teens entering Mike Miller Park in Draffinville, Kentucky, in the early morning hours of Sept. 11, before the park was open for the day.
Hilbrecht says the teens spray painted monuments, signs, bathroom walls, playground equipment, and storage buildings with obscenities and other graffiti.
In addition, several lights at the Veterans' Memorial Plaza were damaged, and two flags were stolen.
Hilbrecht says investigators have collected paint samples, photographed handwriting and taken DNA swabs.
He says no one has been charged, but progress is being investigation.
Once the suspects are in custody, Hilbrecht says the two teens will be charged in juvenile court.
Anyone with information about the vandalism can contact the Marshall County Sheriff's Office at 270-527-3112.
