Here are six things to know for today.

The man suspected of planting bombs in New York and New Jersey is being held on $5.2 million bail. Ahmad Khan Rahami is charged with five counts of attempted murder after getting into a gunfight with police officers. Federal prosecutors say they're still weighing charges connected to the bombings that injured 29 people.

World leaders are gathering at the United Nations today for their annual meeting. Yesterday, many of them attended the first-ever summit on refugees and migrants. This morning President Barack Obama will address the world body for the last time before he leaves office in January.

India test launched a long-range surface-to-air missile. The Barak-8 missile hit a pilot-less target aircraft. The launch mimicked attacking combat aircraft.

French prosecutors confirmed that police have arrested eight people in connection to the Bastille Day attack in Nice, France. Prosecutors say all eight people have connections to the attacker. 86 people died when a man drove a van into a crowd of people celebrating the National Bastille Day holiday.

Police are looking for a man charged with kidnapping and child abduction. Christopher M. Derleth is accused of taking his step-daughter Katherine Derleth and her infant son. The three were last seen Sunday in Edwardsville, Illinois.

Watch for road closures around downtown Paducah this week. Water Street from Broadway towards Schultz Park and sections of the municipal parking lot will close today. Several other locations will close tomorrow. It is all to allow setting up for the 22nd Barbecue on the River.
