Here are six things to know for today.

Police in Indiana are working to find out why a woman killed her two kids then drove up to the police department with their bodies in her car. The mother is behind bars charged with both murders.

City leaders in Cedar Rapids, Iowa are asking parents to make sure kids don't play in floodwaters or near floodwalls. People there are waiting for the Cedar River to crest later today.

Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump are holding campaign rallies in separate states today. Both candidates have their first presidential debate behind them and will square off in a second debate in St. Louis on October 9.

Authorities say a disgruntled lawyer wearing military-style apparel with old Nazi emblems had two weapons and more than 2,500 rounds of live ammunition when he randomly shot at drivers in a Houston neighborhood Monday, wounding nine people before he was shot and killed by police. Police still have not identified the man.

The sawmill fire in California is holding 1,500 acres. Firefighters now have it 45% contained. We still don't know how the fire started.

Get ready to head out to the Marshall County Hospital tonight for the annual "Girls Night Out" breast cancer awareness event. It runs from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. at the Marshall County Hospital lobby. There will be 35 vendors, including boutiques and food booths. Breast cancer survivor Peggy Barnes will be the special guest speaker.
