To shoot or not to shoot? Officers at the Mayfield Police Department are sharpening their split-second decision making skills using the TI Firearms System, a computer program that makes it feel like you're in a real active shooter situation.
Police Chief Nathan Kent says the scenarios are based on true events.
"It creates that muscle memory and the decision making sequence in your head, so that when you're under stress in a similar situation, you're more inclined to make a good judgment," says Kent.
Wednesday, other local law enforcement agencies will start training with the system.
