Here are six things to know for today.

We are waiting to find out what caused a fire at a high-rise facility in Los Angeles where senior citizens live. Five people were injured in the fire. Some victims suffered burns and others have complications from smoke-inhalation.

Samsung said it has halted production of its Galaxy Note 7 phones because of a new quality problem with the phone. The company did not release any more details about that problem. This follows a widespread recall of the phone after reports some of them caught fire.

A woman and her boyfriend in Arizona are in trouble after police say they left the woman's five-year-old son in their car while they gambled. The woman's boyfriend said they weren't trying to put the child in harm's wary but were trying to make money to get them through the next couple of days. Both face child abuse, endangerment, and drug possession charges. The little boy is with child protective services.

Hillary Clinton will announce her plan to double the child tax credit. She also wants to increase the amount that low-income families could get back in refunds. Donald Trump and Mike Pence are campaigning together for the first time since Trump and Clinton's Sunday debate in St. Louis.

Several Blue Bell ice cream flavors are under recall right now. The risk is listeria. All the flavors involved in the recall are made with cookie dough.
