MCCRACKEN COUNTY, KY -
Domestic violence can happen to anyone at anytime, no matter your race, age, gender, or class. McCracken County leaders signed a proclamation declaring October Domestic Violence Awareness Month.
A proclamation against domestic violence was made at 11:30 a.m. Friday in the McCracken County Courthouse. Speaking at the event were Director of Victim Assistance Tiffany Mills, Family Court Judge Deanna Henschel, County Attorney Sam Clymer and Judge Executive Bob Leeper.
One in four women in the world will experience domestic violence, but men can be victims too.
There are different kinds of abuse —verbal, physical, sexual — but they are all still abuse.
