Rick Cochran III held onto his day one lead to win the 2017 Paducah Bank Irvin Cobb Championship on Sunday at Paxton Park Golf Course.
Cochran, who had already won the Irvin Cobb as both an amateur and professional, shot an even par 71 to finishes at 8-under. He beat Trey Shirley and Danny Lewis who both finished at 6-under par.
"It feels great," said Cochran. "It has been a long time since I have been in contention to win a tournament. It still gives me that inner belief again. When you get beat so many times and you come out on top, it kind of rejuvenates you."
Clarksville native Chris Erwin took home the Irvin Cobb amateur championship finishing at 3-under with a 73 on Sunday. Erwin held off a charging Joey Mayo who had the best round among the amateurs with a 67 to finish at 2-under par.
