PADUCAH, KY -

Paducah's City Hall is now listed on the National Park Service's National Register of Historic Places.

City Hall was nominated under Criterion C which focuses on the design, architecture, and construction of the building.

Mayor Brandi Harless says the listing will allow the city to apply for historic tax credits through the state that can be used to help fund the building's renovations.

The city is looking at rehabilitating and improving City Hall’s roof, concrete overhang (canopy), façade, heating and cooling systems, and windows.

The estimated cost is approximately $4.9 million.
