PADUCAH, Ky. - With the temperatures rising, many local seniors are finding it hard to stay cool, and with seniors being more susceptible to heat stroke, that can be dangerous.

That's why the Paducah branch of Emeritus Senior Living launched the Shade Brigade to help area seniors who have immediate needs from the hot weather.

Right now, the Brigade is delivering coolers full of water, popsickles, juice and fruit, along with tips on how to stay safe in the heat.

The company's goal is to reach out to more than 5,000 seniors during the summer months.

If you know of a senior in need, call (270) 554-6911.
