August 21 2017: when day became night.

A total solar eclipse crossed the local six area August 21. An eclipse is when the Moon passes between the Earth & Sun. People in parts of west Kentucky, southern Illinois, southeast Missouri, and central Tennessee were part of the “Path of Totality.” That is where the moon blocks out the sun completely. Depending on where you are, this phenomenon could last from a few seconds to about two-and-a-half minutes.
