Earthquake rattles southern Illinois

According to the U.S. Geological Survey, a 2.7 magnitude earthquake, centered about two miles ESE of Marion, IL, rattled the southern Illinois region last night. 

The earthquake struck just before 8:30 p.m. and had a depth of nearly 10 miles.

We have not received any reports of damage or injuries from the earthquake at this time.
