MONDAY: Partial clearing. Highs in the lower 30's. NNW wind 5-10 mph.
MONDAY NIGHT: Mostly cloudy, with a chance of snow showers from the mid evening hours into the overnight from SE Missouri into Southern Illinois. A light dusting of snow is possible... generally from Route 13, northward in Illinois. Lows in the lower 20's. North wind around 5 mph.
TUESDAY: Other than a few stray flurries in the morning across Southern Illinois, expect a decrease in clouds. Highs in the mid 30's. West wind from 5-10 mph.
LOOKING AHEAD: A few flurries will be possible into Tuesday morning, then we should see a nice stretch of sunshine for the middle of the week. Colder than average weather should stick around for the next several days, keeping highs in the 30's and lows in the teens and 20s. Finally, by the end of the week, a pattern change should bring about a more substantial warmup, taking us back to the 40's by next weekend. Precip is also back in the forecast for Friday, but this time it should be mild enough for rain.
