Our wedding day

From the altar to Afghanistan

My name is Audrey Truelove and my husband, Alex Truelove, is a Lcpl in the United States Marine Corps. My husband and I got married on May 8th, 2010. About three weeks after we said "I do" he went off to training in the Marine Corps for the upcoming deployment for 5 weeks. We never took a honeymoon because he had to be back at work a few days after we got married. Once he got home from his training he had insane work hours and left September 6th for Afghanistan. Out of our 7 months of marriage, we have been together for 5 of them.

He is, for many reasons, my hero. He has sacrificed so much of his life to serve his country and to make someones world a better place. Not only has he made sacrifices for our country, but for our family and our future, as well. I am so proud of him and all of the thanks in this world would never be enough for all that he has done for us and our future.
