A Mother who desperately misses her Hero

Where to begin. My son left for basic training in Jan.2010. He had basic training in Fort Benning and my husband, myself and my daughter attended his graduation and thought he was coming home for a two week visit but instead they took him straight into Airborne training. Little did we know it would be the last time my son would see his father alive. My husband died of a fatal coronary and my son was allowed to come home for about 4 days for the funeral and then back to Benning . In around July he was transferred to Fort Campbell and we (my daughter and I )went to see him every weekend we could but still no 2 week visit. Then he was deployed in Sept. to Afghanistan. We hear from him when he can get on facebook occassionally but we miss him so terribly. He is 18 years old and he is doing well and I could not be prouder of him if he were the president.I would so love to hear his voice and hug him. This Christmas we (my daughter and I will have half our family and we cannot bear to even stay at home, so we will go to visit my Mom and Dad in Georgia to just manage the fact that our Christmas will never be the same again. Wow, what would it means to have uninterrupted time with my son? The world. A Mom who loves her son the hero and misses him so much.
