My name is Katerina Roberts and my husband Nolan Roberts is now serving in Afghanistan. We got married last November on the 28th and he started getting ready to leave in January. We only got to spend a few days every now and then together before he left. However before he had to leave we found out that we were going to have a baby and we were both very excited but also upset because he would miss out on the whole pregnancy. He left out on June 4th and i did not get to see him again untill November 18th for 2 weeks on his R&R. Our beautiful baby girl soon followed on November 27th at 12:56am, the Greatest day of our life. We only got to spend not even a week as a family before he had to leave back. Now talk about having to do something hard, watching my husband hold our baby girl (Haylye) and not wanting to let her go and then us standing there watching him walk away with tears falling from his face. I want him to be home so we could spend our first family Christmas together. He will be missing out on so much on our little girls first Christmas. We love and miss him so much and cant wait until the day we will get to be in his arms again and be a family.
I wish my husband could be home.
