My husband, Captain Joseph F. Vogel, has been serving in the United States Amry for the past 13 years. He has served several tours of Duty in Bosnia, Iraq and Afghanistan. He is currently stationed at Southern Illinois University Army ROTC where he teaches Military Science. He currently prepares future officers for military careers and leadership. He is an example of courage to our 2 year old son everyday. My husband was deployed to Afghansitan when our son was born and watched his birth via "web-cam" from Bagram Airforce base. He met our son on his 2 mo birthday on his mid-tour leave. Aside from serving our country and serving our family, my husband serves his community and neighbors. He displays courage in career as well as in our marriage. He is our Hero and we are very proud of him and we love and support him. Even though his career means making sacrafices it also provides security for thousands of people. My husband is proud to serve his country and proud to stand united and defend our country when called. He accepts challenges and works through one day at a time. We love you Joe! Thank you for your service. Thank you for your character. I know that God gave me you. Without you, I am only half of what I could be. What God has tethered, I pray we never undo!
