My husband deployed to Afghanistan in May, the day we were heading out to go to post for his deployment he proposed to me! This was the most exciting time of my life and yet the worst cuz he was leaving, and I was new to the army life! He had told me a Year was long time to be apart and he has been through it and hoped i was strong enough to handle it! Everyday he has been gone i pray for his safety and the safety of all our troops! They put their lives on the line for us every second of every day, and sacrifice so much and have to give up everything , especially being with their loved ones! My husband came home for R & R in September, when he came home we were married the the second day he was home, I had already planned the wedding with his help when we could talk and all went great! Then the 14 day leave was up and he had to go back! That was so hard to have so much happiness and have to put our new lives together on hold! I dont consider us being apart because we are always together in our hearts! I worry so much every day for his safety and tell him every chance i get how much i love him and how much he has changed my life!!I also tell him he has to be safe, because we have so many happy things to look forward to as husband and wife, and our children need him! I hope everyone prayers and keeps all our troops in their thoughts everyday! They give so much of themselves for all of us!
