Proud Of My Husband & All Who Serve

My husband is my hero and my best friend, we have been married for almost 3 years. My husband has been in the U.S. Army for almost 6 years and I have been by his side the whole time. In 2006-2007 my husband spent a long 16 month tour in Iraq, we got engaged when he came home for his R&R. My husband returned from Iraq in December 2007 and we got married June 2008. Shortly after the wedding my husband left for South Korea for a year. After his year in South Korea we were finally able to live together. We moved to Fort Hood, TX where we got to spend 8 wonderful months together. My husband deployed in July 2010 for a year tour in Afghanistan. I moved back home to finish my degree in Elementary Education. I miss my husband very much and I am so very proud of him, to help pass the time I go to school full time and work 2 jobs. I am proud of my husband and what he does, because I know times are hard when he is away but he stays strong and keeps moving. Although we are apart this is our life and we are proud of how strong we have become. When my husband returns we will be stationed at Fort Campbell, KY. We are very excited to be closer to our hometown of Murphysboro, IL. Although my husband will not be home for the holidays and has not been home for the past 6 years, we try to make his holidays away as good as we possibly can. Having my husband home would be amazing, I just keep thinking that maybe next year we will finally get our Christmas together at home.
