My mom is the best because she has a huge heart overflowing with love! She is caring, kind but most of all she always does for others before herself. My mom has raised three children of her own and still seems to find the time and energy to help care for others including her two year old granddaughter and my 24 year old sister. For almost three years now my mom has been the primary caregiver to my sister, whom was involved in a horrific car accident when she was only 22 year old and 2 months pregnant with her first child. After doctors telling us time after time that my sister would never survive due to traumatic brain injury along with many other complications my sister and the baby pulled through. The accident left my sister disabled, without a voice and unable to walk. The baby is now 2 years old and my mother has her hands full! After having to quit her job, my mom has been there day after day and as tough as it is to take care of my sister and a toddler at the same time my mother never shows a moment of weakness. For the last few years my mom has made sure that my sister is given the best life possible and that she never gives up on being able to walk or talk again one day. My mother takes her from doctor to doctor and has even gone as far as Germany to seek help for my sister. She is so dedicated that every week my mom drives my sister and her little girl four hours one way, by herself, to Lexington, Ky to receive speech and physical therapy. My mom drives back home on weekends and still finds strength to care for the rest of the family. When mom is home she is always sure to have a home cooked meal on the table and is always concerned about everyone else's well being. My mom is the hardest working woman I have ever known and is never one to complain. Mom never takes a second out of the day for herself and never gives herself enough credit. Mom, now is your time to shine..I want to give back and give credit where credit is due! You truly are the best! I love you Mom!
