Strong Hearted Mother

It's been 20 years since my mother had her youngest child, my brother. She has many life trials that she has had to endure. She was a single mother for many years, raising my brother and I, and working two jobs just to feed us. She never once gave up on us and did whatever she thought was best. Even today, she does whatever she can to help us and more. It isn't just us that she helps, but those around her. My mother has a big heart and she put that heart to work when she accepted the role of being a parent to three small children last year.
My brother is now 20 years old and has been out of the house for over a year. You would think that my mother would use this time for herself and not have to worry about raising any children. That is not the case with mine. Last year, she was attempting to help a young man get on his feet. He had three small children, whose ages ranged from 1-3. Unfortunatly, he did not want to better himself and decided to leave the children with my mother. It was a huge decision for my mother make, but she had decided she was not going to let the children go to foster homes and have a chance of being split up. It has been a year now, and my mother is in the process of adopting them.
Let me tell you a little about the children. Hope, who is now 4, has ADHD and behavior issues. She goes to therapy almost every week. Nicole, who is 3, is quiet and can be very sweet at times. And Jacob, who is 2, has learning problems which is being looked into as possibly neurological. My mother, who is 42 years old has a lot on her plate with the three young ones, but she never says she regrets it. She stays at home with them, constantly working with them. They call her mommy and they consider my brother and I as their siblings as well.
Do I think that I could do what my mother has done? I can't say for sure, but I doubt that I could. Not only does my mother do such a good job for these three wonderful blessings, but she does what she can for my brother and I. I have two children of my own, 3 and 4 years old, and she watches them whenever I need her.
My mother is an true inspiration and I look up to her. She has a strong heart and will do whatever it takes to help anyone in need. That is why I have the best mother around.
