Water on Brookport Bridge 5/8/2011

Daily jog across Brookport Bridge

Being from Brookport,I've always wanted to jog across the Brookport Bridge, and what a better time, since the bridge is closed, because of the flood. Now,I jog across daily, to give the City of Brookport,FB page, an update on were the water is on the road. Today, the water,is still on the the KY side,appx.1/8 mile past the curve, heading up toward the incline, to the bridge. The water is still on the approach, and moving fast, and about ankle deep. Enough water on the road, that if you were to hydroplane, you could loose control and end up going down the Ohio River.
As a jogging side note,I believe it's about 2 mile round trip, from Brookport, across, down to the pull off and back. The steel grate decking is hard to manage at first, but find a track,to keep your feet in,then look straight ahead,(for holes)and enjoy.
And, FYI, the people of Brookport did not ask for the bridge to close down and no,there is not any water on the brige,on the Brookport side.

Nice to see the update, but if you are going to write on a public webpage, please learn the comma rules and run spell check.
