If You Grew Up In Christian County, Kentucky You Remember...

What a wonderful story.

"This is a great story about friends, family, community and nostalgia. On Sunday morning, July 31st Brandy Wells Murray decided to create a Facebook group by the name of "If you grew up in Christian County, KY you remember..." ...By that afternoon, the group had over 800 members. Today, just in two days, there are more than 2,700 members. Everyone is sharing their memories of past events, stores, buildings, schools, and sharing their photos. The purpose of this group is to bring the community back together and make connections. This group is for people of all ages. There are stories ranging from the 1950's through the 2000's. We are policing the group to ensure that it stays family-oriented. Folks are commenting on how they are sharing stories from their past with their children and grandchildren, back during a time when kids did not sit in front of the TV and play video games, text on their cell phones. We could roam in the fields on the family farm and our curfew was sundown. Kids walked to school without fear. We would love for you to share our excitement with the area on your broadcasts. This has been such a wonderful and positive experience within our area. I hope you'll be able to spread the word about how social networking can be used in a truly positive way...the way it was intended."
