Truck and tractor pull Saturday, Aug. 20, to benefit Mayfield, Graves County Schools’ Christmas assistance programs
An upcoming truck and tractor pull will benefit the Christmas assistance programs of the Mayfield and Graves County public schools.
The Graves County Truck Pullers’ Association will sponsor the Ken-Ten sanctioned event. It’s scheduled for the Mayfield-Graves County fairgrounds at 7 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 20. Tickets are available at the gate. They’re priced at $10 each, $5 for children ages 5 to 12. Children ages 4 and under are admitted free.
In its first three years, including concessions, the annual truck pull has raised more than $60,000 for school children. The money is divided equally among the 13 schools served by family resource and youth service centers in the county and city. The proceeds are used to provide Christmas gifts to underprivileged children and their families.
Concession stand proceeds this year will benefit projects of Sedalia Elementary and Mayfield Elementary and Middle schools.
