Saturday Truck and Tractor Pull Update

Ricky Wilson poses with his Red Rooster tractor and his grandchildren at Lowes Elementary School. They are, from left, fourth grader Brooke Fralicx, sixth grader Sydnie Fralicx, and third grader Aydan Flint. Wilson and his fellow Graves County Truck Pullers Larry Wooley, Kenny Wiggins, and Kenneth Wiggins are taking their competition vehicles to the Mayfield and Graves County schools this week. They’re promoting the fourth annual truck and tractor pull scheduled for the Mayfield-Graves County Fairgrounds at 7 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 20. Tickets are available at the gate. They’re priced at $10 each, $5 for children ages 5 to 12. Children ages 4 and under are admitted free. Proceeds are divided equally among the 13 schools served by family resource and youth service centers in the county and city. The money is used to provide Christmas gifts to underprivileged children and their families. Additionally, concession stand proceeds this year will benefit the Graves County family resource and youth service centers as well as Mayfield Middle and High schools.
