Graves High students learn pro marketing

Graves County High School students in teacher Michelle McKee’s sports marketing class recently benefited from a rare opportunity, learning directly from professionals. Representatives of the Nashville Predators National Hockey League team visited Graves County. The students heard team executive vice-president/chief sales and marketing officer Chris Parker speak at the Mayfield Rotary Club noon luncheon. They also accompanied others with the team to Graves County Middle School and Lowes Elementary. Meanwhile, students at WGCE, GCHS’ state and national champion TV station took the opportunity to interview Parker. Sports marketing students are pictured here with team representatives. The group pictured includes, from left, Travis Laufle of the Preds’ ticket marketing, Angela Pearcy of the Preds’ dance squad, Rayna Ice, Jessica Harper (foreground), Andrew Schaffer (background) of the Preds’ ticket marketing, Courtney Sullivan, Preds’ mascot Gnash, Clayton Carrico, Jake Williams, Brooke Bradley, Jordan Thurston, and 2007 Paducah Tilghman High School graduate Kacey Hayden of the Preds’ Goal Girls.
