The Graves County Middle School Softball Team battled from the losers’ bracket to win seven games in a row and capture its second consecutive Middle School Softball State Championship. It took place Sept. 30-Oct. 1 at Panther Creek Park in Owensboro. The Lady Eagles overcame adversity and its opponents among 14 top-ranked softball programs across Kentucky. Graves County’s season record was 67-7, with six tournament championships during the year besides the state championship.
